Rwanda having many hillsides and forests it has a tropical climate with dry seasons of June, July and August, September as well as December, January and February. March to May, October and November are part of the traditional rainy season. Primate walks in the forest are a big part of any safari in Rwanda. The habitat of rainforests is, by default, very wet and one can't avoid rain completely.

The average temperature across the country sits at a comfortable 19° degrees Celsius and rain falls throughout the year, but mostly between September and May.
